Finally the right solution for offshore wind is brought up a week before  a final(?) Cape Wind hearing.  I've been talking this up for years.  Is anyone reading my bloggerel?  Hehey.

Floating offshore 23 miles out of sight out of mind.  I'm going to check this out and see if they have considered adding wave or ocean current features to these floating wind systems.

Here is a link to the article that mentions this new development, much easier to site than Cape Wind with all the complaints about marring the view.  No seabed construction and eco destruction, and permitting.  All the really hard construction is done in dry dock, with the floating wind machines towed into place, anchored, and connected with a cable inderwater to the grid.

The weekend before the hearings, Blue H USA announced a proposal to build 120 floating wind turbines in deep water 23 miles south of Martha's Vineyard. Cape Wind opponents pointed out that this would be a preferable project, being completely out of sight from Cape Cod
