It used to be that revering the forests meant you trusted forestors. Corporate bottomline logging has taken over forestry. A new CCC directed by the good old forestry philosophy we knew as kids could reunite environmenalists and forestors.

Environmentalists and forestors, formerly and presently put at odds by industry lobbyists, could make this happen. Recycle the fire prone biomass with a peacefull CCC army. Wouldn't you rather see underemployed kids (your kids) fighting bark beetle infestation, than fighting for oil?
Save the live trees and make them healthier. This is a plan. Maybe bring back some over 70 retired forestors who want to work on this. They remember how the forest is supposed to be managed, and could guide the young CCCers.
I bet they'd love to go back to work. Just use modern, safer machinery. Working in the woods, the way bottomline corporations run it now, is even more dangeous than working in a coal mine. Yikes.
