There's a gossip site and everything!  Already missed the casting call for extras.  They will film at "Little Bohemia"  in Manitowish Waters, where the orginal bullet holes from the federal assault on the lodge are carefully preserved.

And you can still visit The Dillinger Museum, I bet there's even a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle, a machine gun as powerful as a deer rifle, a favorite of 30s bank robbers) somewhere in the collection?

Read about the assault on the northwoods lodge from Wisconsin  author Tom Hollatz,   "Gangster Hollidays".   He talked to the people who were there.  It is quite a story to hear from someone who was there.  Dogs were credited with saving the family.

Their barks alerted them to send the youngest out a basement window to safety and to call for help.  They needed police protection, from the federal government?

Others, patrons at the lodge, who exited the front were shot and killed by federal agents.  It was a government death squad with shoot at will and shoot to kill orders.  Pretty frightening, but familiar to unfortunate victims of the government "war on drugs", in our era.

The gang got away and there are still rumors of bags of cash buried somewhere in the area around the lake shore.
