A sad sign of the disastrous times we are living through, this is an actual probability.

Internet betting in general  should be added to the long list of informal fallacies, but this bet seems to be careful enough to avoid the fallacy designation.

The interesting part of this wager is the volcano exception.  

With the inaction on the part of government/industry and the ignorance on the part of mass media, praying to the volcano gods is about the last hope we have left.

Since positive feedback effects have been excluded from IPCC reporting, there is no way to verify just how dire climate emergency really is, but it looks like a volcanic event (or one every few years) is the only way the climate tipping point can be averted or reversed (if we have actually passed it without knowing).

So the only safe bet is?  We need a few volcanic eruptions to cool the climate and push back against exponential GHG climate emergency.
