I just saw an interview with P J Singer on the Daily Show, he wrote "Wired For War".  All about the use of technology in the ME wars.  He claimed that soldiers using drone planes killed 2400 "insurgents" to propell a recent much touted "victory".

But we need to notice that in Israel, where most  of this technology is developed they couldn't stop rocket attacks without an invasion.

Robotics would be much more useful in the pursuit of peace as mobile news camera platforms, exposing secrets that politicians and generals try to hide and disseminating them onto the vast internet media sea.

Knowledge is power.  All power to the people.  Killing more efficiently with robots is not any kind of solution, it only makes killing easier and a more attractive solution to every problem for war contractor friendly politicians.
