Yes, you heard right, the "Oracle of Omaha" is betting on drx's favorite plugin hybrid car company.  When will Walmart open up BYD auto showrooms in their stores?  That was my next prediction, after the prediction that BYD has won the plugin hybrid race.

According to the latest press from BYD, their plugin hybrid, which sells for 20k now, will sell for around 16k when mass production ramps up.  Since it could typically save 90% of gasoline consumption, on average, this design completely blows away the present hybrid competition.  Plus it has the range and ease of refueling just about everywhere from a normal gas pump.

Now that Buffet has endorsed it, with his own money, it looks like I was right.  Rumor was that Buffet wanted even more of the company than the 10% he purchased, but BYD would only let him have that limited amount.

Can the president ignore plugin hybrids now that one of his most trusted financial advisors has invested in BYD?  I thnk not!  Look for BYD imports soon!

Am I crazy or could a smaller hatchback version  retail for 14k at Walmart in a year or two?  I have an article predicting that from a year or so back, now where is that, hehey.
