Mentioned in the article are heat based treatment.  Recent studies of  heat treatment  that raises the temperature of only the tumor to 104 degrees have been effective .  Microscopic metal pellets that act as heating elements are inserted into the tumor, then an external radio wave heat source maintains the heat.  It would be like a battery powered heating pad.  But actually emit low power electromagnetic waves.  Very little extra energy is needed to raise the temperature 5 degress or so.  A heat sensor controls the temperature inside the cancer cell invaded area.

The constant higher temperature inhibits cancer cell growth and finally kills them, the body reabsorbs the dead cells.  No surgery is required, only insertion of the pellets with acupuncture-style ultrathin long needles.  By using ultrasound viewing the patient could do their own insertion of the heating pellets.

Any treatment like this would be decades in the introduction given the medical system, and certainly deemed illegal until then, if performed by a physician.  But if you did it yourself it would be legal?  Legal, painless, safe, effective?  might be worth a try, do-it-yourself medicine.
